My Netbook is Smokin' Hot!!

I have this HP netbook that I use for school. I'm not ready to give this up for a tablet yet but it heats up like crazy. The battery power is a good 4 hours if I'm not watching videos, but can someone recommend some cooling solutions? Or should I just prepare it for the PC graveyard?

blow the dust out of the fan. and make sure the fan is spinning.

Looks like you've got a dust problem. The easiest way to clean it out is by using compressed air. If you take your netbook to your local gas station, you can use their air pump to blow out the dust. A more thorough way is to unscrew the panels, and manually wipe the dust off all the fans and heatsinks.

The fan is functioning properly but now that you guys have mentioned it, a good shot of compressed air might just do the trick. Thanks
