My new ASUS Zenbook starts up in Chinese

Solution
Do a factory reset, should allow you to select the language during setup. Unless you bought with a localized version of Windows on it that does not have a language option.

Since you got it in Chinese, I think a reinstall will repeat that, and besides how can READ anything to try it?
Sell it on Ebay for 110% of what you paid - some Chinese person may need exactly what you have!

ASUS was made in Taiwan that's why its mainboard got some text in Traditional Chinese. When you say it starts up in Chinese, you may need to enter its BIOS / CMOS to convert the language into English.
