My Samsung Galaxy Prime+ wont save things to my SD card at all

My Samsung Galaxy Prime+ wont save things to my SD card at all, my software version is 6.0.1, obviously because the manufacturer set it this way. Is there a way to remove manufacturer settings? my device just isn't working properly and because it complains of no space, apps shut down, i cant send or receive etc
