I've been using my headphones for a while with my laptop(only has one jack) and my iphone but recently i've been using my PC but when i plug in my headphones some of the sound is cut off so i only hear part of the song/sound being played (e.g. one song i listen to as a echo effect for the voice and with my headphones i only hear the echo effect but not the original voice)

Solution

Then I'd say the problem is that model of skullcandy headphones.
They are not known for quality

it only persist with skullcandy headphones with built in mics. I've check with a pair of the same make and a different model which both had the same problem.

The headphone jack on your PC may be damaged.
Do you have any other types of headphones you can try in the PC jack?

Headphone jacks love to wear out and stop working properly.

The headphone jack is fine, i've hardly used the headphone jack and i have already used it today and the sound was fine, just not through the skullcandy pair.
