You can transfer any data on the micro sd card but the internal memory needs the phone to be on. Have you tried connecting the phone to a computer to see if the USB connection will power the phone so you can access the data.
Have you tried taking it to the T-Mobile store to see if it is defective , with a charged battery it should turn on. Possibly the battery may say charged but it could be not working or not even have a charge in it.
the battery is charged and working on the other galaxy s2. I was told by teck support that i can go to the t mobil store and they can read my memory on the phone and transfer the data. Freg they send me to store but in the past it has been a dead end.
