I've a Sony SLV 474 VP vcr . I suddenly thought the deck wasn't broken and accidently inserted the tape . Unfortunately the deck doesn't even eject or play . What am
I supposed to do ? I need some help . It was my favorite tape .

Solution
You'll have to open it, there is a worm drive gear near the front (usually on the right) this is connected to a motor, turn the gear by hand and the mechanism will slowly start to move, keep it up and it will eject.

it could be hundred different things.

have you switched to the test bars so that you can tune it in?
were you playing a tape?
was it a tape with content on it?
if not playing a tape was the aerial plugged into the vcr?
is the vcr tuned into?
are there even broadcasts being made that can be received by the vcr (analogue)?

that's the first 30s of thought.
