My Toshiba c660 keeps turning off

My laptop just turns off in the middle of use. I've taken the battery off and just kept it conected by the power lead and it still just turns off for no reason

Sounds like you may have an overheating problem. Have you tried running a program like "Speedfan" to monitor it and make sure nothing is getting to hot?

No I haven't tried yet, but I will. Thank you for your help. Am I able to down load the program or do I need to buy it. Thanks
