My Toshiba Laptop freezes and starts making weird sound

Hi , It is my first time to post an error on the net

I booted my laptop normally , started browsing for an hour with no worries or anything then screen stopped responding and a weird sound came out from the laptop and it was getting louder and louder (It did not stop)
So I restarted the device without any problems.
99% of the time the laptop does not crash

-I had these freezes 3 times.
-When it freezes the screen does not go black or something .
-It happens when I only use internet browser.
-The laptop does not freeze when I play (Battlefield for example) .
-3/4 of my hard drive isn't used .
- The laptop is 2 years old and it runs smooth.
-I always put a fan cooler under the laptop.
Laptop specs :
-Win 7 32 bit
-Intel core 2 duo 2.00 Ghz
-2 GB RAM
So please can you tell me why the laptop freezes ?? And how to prevent this from happening again ?

Hi, when the laptop freezes, are you watching a video on the internet? If so, try reinstalling your driver for your video card.

thanks who ever posted this, it helped a lot. now all I have to do is figure out how to do that
