Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help.
- First is to connect an external monitor and observe if the display will also turn off.
- If it does stay on the external display that means it's only the built in display that has the problem.
- If does the same thing on the external display that could be just a driver problem.
- Uninstall/reinstall the graphics card driver first.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Next is to download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- After installing the latest driver reboot your laptop then observe it again.
- If these will not work the problem might be heat.
- Clean the inside of your laptop, remove all the dust and apply new thermal paste on the CPU.
