my toshiba laptop will turn on but the screen stay black

and keyboard and touch pad doesn't work what can i doo

What do you mean exactly? The power light comes on but you have no indication that anything is going on? Try to plug another monitor into the laptop. If it works with the alternate monitor it should narrow it down to a screen issue.

How do you know the touch pad and keyboard are inop?


Take a flashlight and hold it at an angle to the screen and see if you can see a very faint picture.
