my tv keeps making a popping sound

My tv makes popping sounds. What does that mean?

Does the popping happen when it's on or after you turn it off? What kind of tv is it. Brand, model, LCD, etc.

Most popping is caused by either a short in the wiring to the speaker system or thermal expansion from the heat generated by the display. In rare circumstances it could be hardware related as with faulty caps or an intermittent short on the PC board somewhere.

My noise is a pop or like a electrical spark noise at the rear back right near the bottom. Is my tv dieing on me
