My volume is not working on my projector while hooked up to a DVD player why and help please

I have a projector it worked while it was in the bedroom now I moved it in to the living room hooked it up to a smart DVD player and I don't get sound.

Is the volume up on both devices?

Check the audio menu of the player. You may need to change the audio output type.
If you are playing a disc try selecting different audio from the disc menu.
If you are playing an app there may be audio settings in the app too.
