Solved! my work has supplied me with an elitebook g40 can someone explain the options regarding multiple monitors.

I have this laptop on loan and they are sending me a second monitor not sure of the connections it will have.

I also have a spare monitor in my cupboard which is vga/dvi.

Ive tried reading up on it but cant get my head round it, is this laptop able to then have 3 monitors 1 laptop and 2 external ?

thanks for any advice as im using it for working at home hopefully.

With a dock you should be able to get two external screens and the laptop screen working. Why not talk to your work IT people about this? You would need a dock from them and possibly cables.
