Hello - classic situation of moved into new home with pre-installed ceiling speakers and looking for best amplifier setup re: zones, etc. Current setup:

1. Two ceiling speakers in living/kitchen area (main floor)
2. One ceiling speaker in office (main floor) with wall volume control knob
3. Wall panels for speaker and sub connections.

Please take a peek at the photo and let me know what you think. I am considering getting a 7.2 receiver and sub in the living room with a pair of bookshelf speakers as well.

Thanks!

Solution
The wall connections don't make much sense. You have a lot more terminals than speakers. You will need to ID the speakers for each pair of terminals. You can connect an amplified source to each pair or use a AAA battery which will make sound when you attach the minus and attach and detach the positive to the tereminal by moving the woofer.
I would suggest you get one or two Denon HeosAmps

for the main floor / office.
If you get a Denon or Marantz receiver, which have Heos built in, that would be great for the living room surround sound system.
