Hey everyone.

I have a few plug n plays where the games began to blackout due to what I believe are faulty cables (after playing with the rca cord and holding it a certain way to make it work again). Is there and reason I can’t buy a new cord set, minus the red, and solder in a new cable?

Has anyone used an adapter to plug these into HDMI?

Thanks for the help!

Solution
It might be easier to replace the RCA plug if the fault is at that point where the wire enters the plug.
If you can get the body of the plug and play open then soldering a new cable shouldn't be too tough. You do want to make sure not to use too much heat as you could damage it.
