NBC HD Olympic Broadcast Stopped?

The NBC HD Olympic broadcast is what it is.

There's no reason that one shouldn't enjoy as much of it as possible.

However, that doesn't negate the facts that:

1) The NBC HD Olympic broadcast is very disappointing given what I was
expecting and what it could have been.

2) If you don't have the NBC HD Olympic broadcast, you aren't really missing
anything.

At 5:00 p.m. EST today, the NBC HD Olympic broadcast stopped on our local
Tampa NBC HD feed. The local news was broadcast for one-half hour. Then, at
5:30 p.m., today's gold medal women's soccer game began broadcasting in
non-HD. What's that all about?

One of the most frustrating parts of trying to watch the HD coverage has
been the lack of a good, detailed guide to what is going to be broadcast and
when. Today's sudden dropping of the HD Olympic coverage at 5:00 p.m. simply
adds to the frustration.

Is the dropped HD broadcast just a local Tampa issue or is this happening
everywhere?

It's happening in Atlanta, too.

At 6:00 p.m., the NBC HD broadcast reverted back to the previous day
coverage of the Olympics.

Guess someone for some reason decided to take a break.

Not in southern CA. Both Los Angeles (KNBC) and San Diego (KNSD) are now (at
2am PDT) showing the closing ceremonies in HD. [I see both areas' stations.]

I think I read somewhere that Closing ceremonies would only be repeated
twice in HD. NYC is showing Saturday on the east coast at 7AM on Monday.

Oh well.............
