I currently have x31 Turtle beaches. Not to say I don't like them but most times when loading pages or YT videos they crackle and cut in and out with audio and its just 2.4 Ghz Interference, with where I live, and my router situated plus where my laptop is, there is nothing I can do to fix it.

Besides they are getting worn down and had to super glue a part of it one day to fix it so I need a new headset. I'm looking for a wired, gaming headset with decent audio (like on a scale of 10 maybe a 6/7/8) that also has a 3.5mm jack for the mic.. the turtle beach I have to plug a controller into my USB port and then plug the mic into that for it to work on the PC. Any good headset suggestions?

Skullcandy Slyr's have decent reviews from the head-fi gaming section. There are also closer in price to the turtle beaches at around 60. The Sennheiser G4me one/zero are superior, but is around 150-200 new or about 120 used.
