I need a nice USB sound card to go with my HyperX Cloud. My budget would be around 100$ max.

are you on a laptop? if so, then audioquest dragonfly would be a nice toy
also, sound blaster has some nice usb sound cards...

there's a cheap startech usb sound card that says it can pass through already encoded (compressed) dts & dd sources (like DVDs) via optical output: StarTech.com ICUSBAUDIO2D USB Stereo Audio Adapter External Sound Card with SPDIF Digital Audio Out, about $30.

this can't encode those though from uncompressed sources like games.
