Need advice for best hookup for 1080p video and best sound quality for current equipment .

-Pioneer Elite Pro 101FD TV
-Roku 4 or 3 not yet purchased,
-Yamaha RX-V495 receiver (old school but love sound)
-Panasonic DMP-BD60 blue ray (upgrade soon to oppo BDP 103 or 105)
-Speakers 2 mains, 2 bookshelf, powered sub, center.

Thanks in advance

Solution
1. Speakers to receiver as per owners manual.
2. Panasonic BD player discrete audio outputs to external decoder input of receiver (3pr RCA audio cables). HDMI out to TV. This will give you best audio for BD discs.
3. Roku to HDMI switcher with digital audio extraction. Digital Audio out to receiver digital audio in. HDMI to TV

If you replace the Panasonic with either of the Oppos you would not need the HDMI audio extractor. The Roku would connect to the HDMI Input of the BD player. The BD player would connect the same as the Panasonic.
