Need help deciding which laptop Lenovo Y480 or Hp dv6-6c53r

Alright so I'm deciding if I should go for the

Noted that I can get both for $800. Yes I know they both aren't the top for game, but which would be best for gaming?
And if anyone could find better I would like to see suggestions around $700-800.

640M is slightly faster so the first one will give you an overall better gaming performance

Screen resolution is a personal choice TBH.
And yes,you can run another monitor(with up to 2048x1536 resolution)

Sorry if it's a bit too late to comment, but the Lenovo Y480 comes with a 640M LE (which is significantly weaker than the 640M) even though Lenovo markets it as a 640M - just check their forums. I don't need to do much more talking, just do online research to figure out that the LE is significantly lower in benchmarks compared to the 7690M XT and the 640M.

Edit: The 640M LE isn't a bad chip, it's just worse in comparison. You'll still be able to play most games (albeit on low settings at the laptop's resolution for good frame rates), but if you want to bump up to something like a 1080p monitor.. well, good luck comment on how it goes.
