Need help finding a nice laptop :)

Hey everyone, I'm going to university this September so I'm buying a new laptop with around a £700 max budget. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good laptop that will be suffice for typing up assignments and taking notes whilst being good enough to play games?

My current laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L750-170. It's okay for playing some games like League of Legends and CS:GO on 30-40 FPS on the lowest settings but I'd like a little more since my budget is higher this time. Does anyone know anything about graphics cards etc as I think it's the graphics card that is letting me down on this laptop and they're all called different things with different numbers and letters so I have no idea which is better than another.

Something like a Lenovo Y50 would be good, although a bit over budget. You could go for a step down like a Y40, but I'm not sure how well that can run stuff. Should be able to run league & CS though.
