I need a good portable charger for a Asus N550JK laptop that can also charge a Samsung Galaxy tab S 10.5 tablet and a cell phone. The cell phone charging capability is really not necessary because I have a charger for it but it would allow me one less gadget to carry around.

If you already have a laptop charger, then it would be easiest to just use the laptop to charge the phone and tablet with Micro USB cables. If by portable charger you mean one that works in a car, not one for connecting to a wall, then you can get a power inverter that plugs into the car and gives you a two or three prong outlet to plug the laptop's charger into. Most stores like Walmart of Walgreens carry these inverters.

Thanks, is there a particular volt, amp, watt, size I should be looking for? As you can tell I am not very knowledgeable in this area.

Are you referring to the inverter for a car? If you are, then the input voltage is 12V (this comes from the car and is pretty universal) and the output will be around 110V, 115V, or 120V. Wattage will typically be 60W to 100W, I use a 100W model that I bought for around $15. Amps usually isn't listed, but if you are curious, 100 Watts divided by 120 Volts gives a maximum current of about .8 Amps output. That is plenty for a laptop, phone, and tablet to charge simultaneously.
