Need to get a couple of pictures from old phone or SD card

I have a samsung galaxy s2 that I need to get a couple of pics from. I no longer have service on this phone because my charging port does not work. These are a couple of pics that were sent to me in a text. When I saved or downloaded the pics from the text it saved them in my gallery in a grouping called Downloads. I can't connect the phone to my computer because of the port. I can see these on my old phone and on the SD card when it is in my old phone. When I put the SD card in my computer or new phone, I cannot find the group called Download. All of my other pictures seem to be there but this group. Can anyone tell me how to find that group named Download so I can transfer those couple of pics to my computer or new phone.

It's probably in the Download folder of your internal storage, not your SD card.

There's a few recovery software programs out that that might be able to scrape something together, but they kind of require your phone to actually be functional and attached to your computer. If your phone were at least functional, you could use something like Dropbox or Google Drive to back up those pictures.
