Most of the time, anything that get recorded into a video camera will end up in the computer anyway for editing or storage. Why would you want to record it on a videocam while you already doing it straight into your laptop?
Consumer video camera nowadays are mostly HDs. Unless you go for Profesional models, they do not Auxiliary Video In, just Mic In for some better models.
