Solved! Netflix audio on projector

Hi. I’ve seen a few topics related to this but nothing that resolves it.

I’m using the official Apple lightning to HDMI adaptor to connect my iPad to a projector. Everything seems to work ok apart from when trying to watch Netflix. Older shows and films on Netflix work fine but newer things (I’m assuming ones that have 5.1 sound) don’t play with any sound (video is fine). I’ve been trying to find a way to force Netflix to always play non-5.1 sound but can’t find a way to do it.

Is anyone able to help with this, whether it would be changing the setup or otherwise? Thanks!

If you can't change the settings in the iPad or Netflix app then get a soundbar that has HDMI in and out that can accept 5.1 audio. It will sound much much better too.
