new acer problems

brand new acer aspire r 14 when i did all the set up was prompted to download 63 critical updates, after download and shut down I turned it back on logged in and all I get is a black screen with a mouse, cannot access windows or touch screen. Nothing

try this
Hit Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager.

Then in the Task Manager, click File, New Task (Run...).

Then type:

explorer.exe
After that see if you can install more updates to see if that helps.

Might try a system restore as well if all that doesn't work.

I assume you've tried just powering down and restarting?
