Maybe looking to get a new android phone for my dad soon. He dropped is phone and cracked the screen pretty bad. Still works but can be hard to see certain things.
He currently has a moto g7 power using tracfone service. Doesn't need the latest and greatest but don't want the cheapest either, maybe less than $200. Was thinking something at least 32gb storage, a decent camera, somewhat durable. Plan on getting a case for it too, otterbox if available. He is not a big phone user, main use is text and calls but is trying to learn how to use it more too.
Looked at the moto g power. Seen reviews complain about the resolution of the screen being 720p. Not sure how big of a deal that is. Something I am not sure about is should he get an unlocked phone or one that is locked to tracfone. If he gets an unlocked phone, does that mean he has to take the sim card out of his current phone? If he gets a phone locked to tracfone, what happens if he wants to switch to a different carrier? Will all his current data be able to be transferred?
