Hello,

I have been using McAfee Anti virus for a long while now but I've found out that they discontinued it when I came to renew.
So I am looking for an equivalent anti virus product that can run on my laptop and run silently in the background without hogging 'pc usage' (e.g 100% cpu usage !!!)

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz
Inspiron 15 (3000 Series)

RAM 8.00 GB

System Windows 10 Home (64-bit operating system, x64-based processor)
version 21H2

Harddrive 1TB

thanks

yes, Windows Defender activated when my McAfee subscription ended.

I don't do too much on my laptop PC except visit my Bank websites to pay my credit cards and Amazon & Ebay for shopping. Would Windows Defender be adequate ? I am just concerned if something odd/unusual happens and Windows Defender is not enough.

Does Norton 360 have a light cpu footprint ?

I haven't used Norton in over 20 years, so I wouldn't know how it acts these days. If all you use it for is paying bills and shopping (no e-mails or questionable web surfing), I'd say Defender is enough.
