New Asus Turns Black Screen.

Hello, about a week ago, I got a Asus G550JK-CN474H 15" (Gaming Notebook). I turned on the computer and started pre-installed skype, and the screen went black. It kept on happening, so I thought it was skype, so I uninstalled it. When it turns black, I can use the mouse and keyboard, and the sound works, and it's a bit less dark than when it is turned off. It was happening more frequently, usually when I start it up. Now, for about 2 days, it has turned black every time, in atleast 5 minutes from when i boot it up. It is also showing white lines vertical and horizontal, both thick and thin. Can someone please tell me how to fix this?

Might try a system restore to a time prior to starting the install of Skype, it may have loaded something the rig doesn't like
