New gaming rig FPS dropped to 10 while playing Fallout 4 and The Forest. Why?

Hi everyone, my gaming rig is completely new and it was set up last weekend. Here are the computer specs:
Motherboard: B450 Aorus Pro Wifi
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
Graphics Card: Gforce GTX 2060
Power Supply: Powerspec 650 Watt 80 Bronze
Hard Drive: C Gate Barricuda 2 TB
SSD: Inland (cant remember specs)
The computer was running games like Fallout 4 and The Forest absolutely beautifully last night, but today the FPS dropped to 10 and the games are completely unplayable. What do I do to fix it? I'm upset, because I spent over a thousand building it.

Hello,

Not sure if you already resolved this but you might try running various benchmark tests to see if its a specific component

things like:
userbenchmark to test all components
heaven to test gpu

and so on, compare your results to others with similar hardware
