new help with sub woofer

i have a 100 watt kenwood passive sub how can i power it to use it too use it with my reciver that has sub out

Can't. Sub out assumes powered amp, and passive sub have no amp. Only way would be to add an another amp in between the receiver and the sub.

You need an amp or a receiver. Your current receiver is outputing a line level signal, so that would go into an input on an amp or receiver, and then the sub would be connected to the output via speaker terminals.

Honestly, I would just buy a powered sub. Why introduce a whole other amp for 1 sub. Then you have volume issues running different amps, pain in the butt. Buy a powered sub.

Yes it should work very well. It's powerful enough and you don't have to worry about impedance since it's a powered sub.
It features 2 kinds of inputs and those are generally the most used ones (RCA jacks and simple cable connectors)
