Yes it should work very well. It's powerful enough and you don't have to worry about impedance since it's a powered sub.
It features 2 kinds of inputs and those are generally the most used ones (RCA jacks and simple cable connectors)
You need an amp or a receiver. Your current receiver is outputing a line level signal, so that would go into an input on an amp or receiver, and then the sub would be connected to the output via speaker terminals.

Honestly, I would just buy a powered sub. Why introduce a whole other amp for 1 sub. Then you have volume issues running different amps, pain in the butt. Buy a powered sub.
