new HP laptop BSOD when updating graphics driver

was told by tech support at HP not to update driver for AMD Radeon 5. My processor is AMD A10-9600p. Will not updating be a problem in the future. Just use laptop for surfing, music and Netflix

have you ever tried the most stable driver for ur GPU?

Hello, the driver I am using is stable 16.101.1311.1001. this is the original driver. My question is, will I have a problem 1 year 2 years down the line if I am unable to update to another stable driver
