Hi all,

I have an ASUS R510DP which is about 2 years old. I've had to change the battery recently due to the "plugged in, not charging" issue from a burnt out internal battery.

So I bought a new identical battery and had that put into the computer. It seemed to be working well for a week or so until recently where it seems my computer (Windows 10) is not registering the battery properly.

Because of this issue, I never know the actual battery percentage. It could be stuck at 99% for example. And I never get the "low battery" warning popup anymore. So it will randomly either just die or hibernate. It's always a risk! i've tried deleting and reinstalling the battery driver but that hasn't worked.

Any help is appreciated!

I was curious if anyone had information about this or a means of fixing. Thank you!

The battery was not authentic to Asus, it was developed by a 3rd party originally when I opened it up. So I searched for the product number and bought that exact model.
