New laptop doesn't like my Internet... but only MY Internet

I recently got a new laptop from PC Specialist. Occasionally when I'm using the Internet on it (or any program which uses the Internet, such as World of Warcraft) it'll suddenly take ages to load pages. It will still show it is connected but nothing will load. It'll only work again if I click my Internet connection, disconnect and then reconnect again. About 5 minutes later it'll drop connection again.

When I take my laptop over my boyfriend's house I don't have any problems at all, so I think it might have something to do with either my laptop's connection to my Home Hub or my slow Internet (every time I run a speed test I average 60ms ping, just under 7Mbps download speed and 0.3Mbps upload speed).

Also, I don't know if it's got anything to do with this, but I have problems with my iPhone 4 with my internet. It'll drop connection when I'm streaming video on my phone or browsing the Tumblr app, and I'll have to disconnect the Wi-Fi and reconnect it to get it working again, and then it'll very soon drop again.

All previous laptops I've had haven't had any issues with it, and my new Motorola Moto G phone doesn't either.

I have a BT Home Hub 3 router.

I'm pretty sure it is my bad router, since I've taken my laptop to my boyfriend's house and had no issues. And he's had his PC here and it started getting awful lag.

I'm just wondering if there's a way I can sort the problem out without having to buy a new router? I think what's happening is Windows 10 is resetting or cancelling my connection every time it senses a problem with the router (which although is bad, still works). I want a way to stop Windows 10 from resetting or cancelling the connection.
