New laptop has some mini lags when opening applications and websites (also when gaming from time to time)

Hi guys,

I recently bought a new laptop, the GE62VR. Its a beast and I love it. But I often encounter some noticeable 1 second mini lag when opening applications, open websites, and sometimes when gaming. What could be causing this? I am using Windows 10 Pro.

It could be the number of programs actively running in the background. It could also be the internet connection lagging. If you are in need of updates (system, program or driver) that can lead to lags. Then there is the possibility of lagging due to a virus or malware.

I would start with those.
