If you do an internet search on "laptop reliability" you will find surveys showing ASUS and Toshiba usually ranking best and HP usually ranking last.

Cool!!

so Asus or toshiba it will be!

found me a ASUS (strangely that model didn't appear on newegg)

but it has a hm55 express mobo
I3 330m CPU
4 gb RAM 1066 mhz
500 gb hdd
15'6" monitor with a 1366 x 768 resolution
hdmi port
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

the only issue is the graphics adaapter wich is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145. is this enough for HD tv and HD video???

hd video decoding is mainly dependend on processor. however, graphics card now help a lot to, starting form ATI HD 3200, which is a graphics chip, all laptops i belive are capable of decoding FULL HD video and so the graphics card should be MORE THEN ENOUGH.
