New Laptop Screen Flashing...

Just picked up a refurbished dell laptop back in November 2016 (The issue has been progressively getting worse since I got it.) The screen will flicker and be very faint (bad back light or invertor?) whenever it is adjusted. Having a one year warranty bundled in, I'm just going to take it back to dell. Any other solutions/thoughts?

Loose connection, issue with a backlight or inverter.
