Pioneer no longer manufactures LD players, but One Call still has the
DVL 919 new, but be prepard to pay. It is a LD/DVD combo unit. Other
than one call, you might try Ebay for new units.

Pioneer Japan still manufactures the entry level CLD-R5, the DVL-919
combo and the DVL-K99 karaoke system.

A local dealer (who happens to specialize in Pioneer products) told me he could
get his hands on one or two brand-spanking-new DVL-919s. I believe he wanted
somewhere in the neighborhood of $550 a piece for them. Pioneer still lists it
on both the North American and Japanese websites, but I believe it's long out
of production for both countries. Maybe Mr. Santini (spelling?) can let you
know one way or the other on this. Pioneer was also listing the CLD-R5 on their
Japanese site last I checked, but I've got no idea how avaliable they are and I
was told that it isn't worth spending the money to import. Your best bet would
be to pick up two CLD-D704s and send them both up to Bayview service for *full*
aligment/service/etc...

Audio Advisor also sells the DVL-919 (www.audioadvisor.com) Their
current catalog lists it at $999.00, with free ground shipping.

Something wrong with the site. Where the words should be just looks
like stick figures. Model numbers are ok tho.

Nothing is wrong with the site. You need to have Japanese fonts
installed into your browser before you can read it. Windows update
online should take care of that. Then you can also have it translated
to English by babelfish.

Wilson Home Theater (their address should be either in Woodland Hills or Canoga
Park, CA) told me several months ago that they could get one for less than
$600. Although I can nearly get 2 D704s for that, so why bother?
