New refurbished T 420i won't wake up. Battery charge lightly

The battery light on cover is on. Power button flashes once when pushed. Secret trick tried. I have gotten power button to blink, and the white light to flash, but it won't boot. Please help.

What is this "secret trick" you tried? If you just bought it, contact whoever sold it to you and return it.
