Need advice selecting best router for home & office combo house.
1.NOT Linksys, no thanks, never again, graduated to EA6200 after much time/money spent
2.Boomerang shaped one story, wood framed house
3.Router source center of house, cable Internet provides 200Mbps
4.TV1/laptop/tablet 45' away through glass window & flanking furniture
5.TV2 45' away through 5 stud/gyp.bd wall, one of which contains min.wool insulation batts, sheathed one side w/foil faced insulation board & wood siding
6.Minimum requirement is to run never interrupted Amazon Video on mid-level Samsung/Sony smart TVs

[removed tech support scammer site/phone#]
horrible communication connections, when calling them & when they call me back
calling center huge background noises ala telemarketeers
E.Indian says he understands then reveals he doesn't with pat questions
constant interruptions when told OK to speak
does not understand English? or does not care to listen?
repeatedly never got much past "can you help me choose a router for my house?", describing house then fell on deaf ears

UGH

You are asking a lot from a router. There are two things to consider. One is the coverage area of both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. They have different coverage areas. The other thing to consider is the architectural barriers. When all is said and done, if you have a router that performs adequately enough at present, leave it there and add a couple of $40 wireless range extenders.

Very good advice but already taken
EA6200 (ugh) mounted at window head height
a LTERIVER $28 repeater plugged in 1/2 way down each boomerang leg
the one with many walls can by pass some of these with "bank shots" (ala billards)

Again, SHOPPING
for something better, plug N play, not so much darn tweaking
even though it seems to be working now
sooner/later this cheap router will have to be reset in order not to again lock incoming internet cable
so unreliable

Have been advised
ORBI
thruwall results for Nighthawk impressive
again - anything Linksys is NO GO, support = nonexistant and dumb sales ... man the chat help lines!
