Solved! New Seagate 2TB hard drive not reconized by vizio 65"tv

Hello All, so i bought a new external hard drive from costco, segate 2tb 2PA3P9-505, and thought ill just put all my movie on it and plug it in. NOPE!
When i do plug it in to my TV it only shows this, EFI FAT32 196.9MB. Ive formated both ways that are available, fat32 and ntfs and still nothing. I have 2 other hard drives and they work just fine. one is an hp 500gb and the other is a WD 1tb. Now all of these hard drives work on every other vizio in my house which are all older then the one that's giving me issues. Im not sure if its a hard drive thing or a TV thing.

If anyone has some answers that would most helpful.

That looks like a portable drive that is powered via USB. Maybe that TV doesn't have enough current to power that drive?

Hello and thanks for the reply.
You say it might be a power issue. The question i have is why would my other hard drives work? Is it possible that size can draw more power?

You would have to check the specs of the drives to be sure. A bigger drive might draw more.
If the size of the drive were the issue the older TVs would be more likely to have a problem.
