I just setup my 1020a and haven't been able to get anything to work with
either MyTheater or DVBViewer. I have my dished aimed at Galaxy 11. Anyone
offer some tips or links with the basics?

If you can get Nimiq-1, and you're using a DTV dish and lnb, think about
it! All you'll ever receive are DSS signals (12.2-12.7ghz). That would be
any of the Dish or ExpressVue birds. Galaxy 11 is co-located in the same
orbital slot, BUT that bird transmits on either C or Ku bands. Your not
gonna receive those signals until you employ the appropriate hardware.
You'll need a larger (i.e. 90cm) dish and a linear Ku lnb to mount on that
dish. Then you can receive signals transmitted in the range of 11.7-12.2ghz.
If you want C band coverage, at least a 6 foot dish and a lnb capable of
3.7-4.2ghz are required.

You need a linear LNB. The DBS one won't do.

That's what you will get with that dish and LNBF.

To get G11, you need a larger dish and Ku LNBF.
