I guess I'm the odd guy here. I read newsgroups _only_ on my PDA precisely
to avoid these issues!

I tried that, but it is unreliable. It seems that my server doesn't
always post messages in the order of the time received (or something
like that). So when I used your method, I always seemed to miss a
message or two that was important to me.
