Hi everybody, who can help me.I need camera for special purpose.I fly
paraglider, so i need camera for taking pictures from the air and also due
to traveling for some "touristic"pictures. I explored some sources and it
led me to the end with Nikon Coolopix 7900 and Canon Ixus 700 on the
horizon.

I would be very grateful if somebody help me to choose the right one.

I considered the Nikon 7900 before I bought a Sony W7. But there were
too many reports of AF problems in low-light with the Nikon 7900 and I
first hand experienced that with a Nikon 5900 (same as the 7900 but
lesser megapixels). I checked the Canon Ixus 700 (also known as SD500)
but felt it was too small to shoot comfortably. Your preferences might
defer. Finally, bought the Sony W7 when my girlfriend's liking for its
2.5" LCD tipped the balance in favour of the Sony. You might also want
to consider the Panasonic FX9 and Casio Exilim models.

Have you compared pics side-by-side? You probably can at
imaging-resource.com. Helped me make my decision.

Hi,

I have purchased the 7900 and while the pictures are simply brilliant,
I did find that the 7900 does not like taking pictures in low light
conditions, the AF does not like it! Other than that I cant find any
other faults with the camera and will continue to use it for many years
to come!

Regards
