I remember when 'Hey you Pikachu' came out. It was $90. Did I buy that mess then? Heck no. I waited it out and a number of months to a year later, I bought it new for $1.95. Same thing with that Gameboy advanced Wireless attachment. You could get one used once at a Gamestop for under $2. I imagine Nintendo will utilize this peripheral more than others in the past, but it's their model of "Buy this attachment and use it for a couple games, then it's support is discontinued" that makes me want to buy used.

Companies try this crap all the time, and even though they had to take a beating before they caved...I am glad that Nintendo listened and (at least for now) changed the policy.

Yeah I guess you're right, it might still be funny. It always depend on where and how you use it. I always thought of Tom's Hardware more of an "adult" techno site but that doesn't mean you can't have "fun" there. Or maybe I'm just plain wrong.

Still, I'm not sure being rude is necessary. Also, the impact is not diminished simply by changing the wording...
