Nintendo has had a good year with sales up 73-percent, operating income up 115.6 percent, and profit up 47.6 percent on the back of the hugely successful Wii and continued strong sales of the DS handheld.

"The Nintendo DS is set to suffer a slowdown, with sales shrinking 8-percent in 2008, though overall the DS has been confirmed as the best selling handheld of all time, with 30.31 million units sold worldwide."

30.31 is not even half of the units that Nintendo DS has sold worldwide. Last I checked, DS had already sold 70 Million+ units worldwide. Please get your facts right. It can be verified with NPD or VGChartz whichever you follow.
