No audio coming from Ath-M50 Headphones

I recently bought a pair of Audio Technica Ath-M50 Headphones and when I plug them in to my PC audio jack/ headphone jack I get no sound out of them. The headphone doesnt even pop up in device manager. The headphones DO work in my MP3 player so they do actually function. If you need any more troubleshooting info, just ask

Which jack are you using? Have you made sure the front panel cables are secure in place in the pc? Have you tried plugging them into the back of your motherboard? Do other headphones work with the pc?
