No Audio Output Device is installed.

Last night I shut off my computer and went to bed, everything was working fine. When I woke up this morning there was no sound coming out of my laptop (Alienware). Whenever I hover over the sound icon it says, “No Audio Output Device is installed.” When I go to Sounds and Playback, nothing is there, it just says, “No audio devices are installed.” When I go to Recording it says the same thing. Please help.

go to the laptop support site and download the drivers and reinstall them. sounds like they got damaged.
