No Battery Detected

I have an Acer Aspire 5552-3691 laptop and my battery needed to be replaced,so I recently bought a new and installed it. It still says no battery detected though??? What should I do

Did it detect your old battery. Batteries usually wear out with time and usually what you will notice is that an old notebook battery will hold minimal charge (say 10-30mins while web browsing) and will also commonly misreport battery life. Otherwise it should still show that a battery is connected. If neither battery is showing as connected you may have an issue with the wiring that connects and/or reports the battery to the system.
