I started up my Lenovo Ideapad to find a message saying 'No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key'. The thing is, how do I do this without a disk player? (Windows 8 version w/ Windows 10 installed)

Do you have a USB plugged in? Remove that. Go into BIO make sure you boot sequence is set to HDD. You can also try to re-seat the HDD, but I doubt that is the issue.

So there is NO USB drive connected to your laptop at the time? Not even a keyboard or mouse? And I'm sorry, I meant BIOS (usually F8 or F12 at bootup).
